MEET NANCY

New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
  • Academic Performance
  • Fiscal Responsibility
  • Curriculum Transparency

As a former Special Education Teacher, I saw early in my career that the Teachers Union did not support the children. As my children entered the public school system, I seriously considered running for the School Board I wanted to be a part of leading my children's education. I decided instead to become involved in the face-to-face operations of the school.

In 2020, as COVID mandates were implemented I again saw that the Teacher's Union was not "Putting the Children FIRST". I began gathering information and attending School Board meetings. I knew it was time to revisit the decision about running for School Board. "The answer this time is YES!"

My husband and I, moved our family of 5 to Cary, IL 31 years ago. Our 3 adult children all graduated from D26/D155 schools and colleges in Illinois.

EXPERIENCE and LEADERSHIP

In the years since, I served, and continue to serve on several boards. I have headed up several ministries and started several for profit and non-profit businesses. I currently serve as Treasurer for McHenry Count Wedding and Events, and Owner of the Serendipity store.

Over these years I volunteered in the classroom, organized fundraisers, served as a room parent, including serving as PTO Vice President at Three Oaks and PTO President at Cary Junior High.

Additionally, I served as a Board Member for the Regional Office of Education McHenry County, President for the Learning Tree Christian Co-Op, President of the Women’s Ministries at local church, Co-Chair Hospitality Trinity Baptist,
Owner/President of Aztec Gold Gourmet Chocolates, Hospitality for Women’s AGLOW Fellowship, Co-Leader of Keepers at Home, Treasurer of The Blessing Basket, PTO Vice President for Three Oaks Elementary, and PTO President Cary Junior High.
